North end of the Cooling Tower with the Pump Sump in the foreground. Hudson Ranch Geothermal Plant Cooling Tower Basin/Deck coated with Utilithane® Polyurethane Coating at 125 Mils thick. Basin Dimensions are 338 Feet Length by 52 Feet Width and includes a 6 foot wall surrounding the Deck/Basin. The Pump Sump at the end of the Basin is also be coated with Utilithane®. Total area of Coating work is in excess of 25,000 Square Feet.
Utilithane® Polyurethane Coating is applied at 125 Mils thick on the Concrete Deck and Walls of the Cooling Tower Basin. The 800 support legs for the Cooling Tower have 500 Mils [1/2 inch] thick of Utilithane® Coating applied around the post base plates, burying the plates monolithically within the coating, creating a water tight deck around all the base plates.

Utilithane® Polyurethane Coating is absolutely unique with the ability to be applied over concrete surfaces containing prolific bugholes with no pin-holing or blow-holing of the coating during the application process.
View of ramp and wall structure entering the Pump Sump all coated with Utilithane® Polyurethane Coating. The Pump Sump “floor” was coated with Utilithane® Coating at 250 Mils thick and mechanically locked down with Keyways ¼ inch wide and 1 inch deep to compensate for expected turbulence within the Sump. Keyways are saw-cut into the concrete substrate and flooded with Utilithane® coating during application.
